On October 4th, a SWOT analysis meeting on SAF was held at the UniSA Enterprise Hub.

The discussions focused on South Australia's strengths in agriculture, biomass feedstock, and land transport, exploring the potential for establishing a SAF manufacturing center. Stakeholders emphasized that SAF presents an opportunity for South Australia to become a significant feedstock supplier and producer within Australia, with the potential for future exports. Furthermore, SAF manufacturing could create new jobs and attract additional investments, aligning with the South Australian government’s broader strategy for renewable energy and achieving decarbonise targets. On the other hand, managing costs for flight tickets and securing government mandates were identified as challenges. Raising public awareness about sustainability and SAF will be essential to ensure broader acceptance and support for these initiatives.

Our team will share the meeting report later. We will continue to collaborate with industry partners and encourage you to stay connected with our LinkedIn page for the latest updates on SAF developments and industry trends.
